Proper aftercare ensures your tattoo heals beautifully. Follow these simple steps for the best results:
Protective Film (Day 1–3)
- Keep the transparent bandage (second skin) on for up to 3 days. There’s no need to change it, as my tattoos are gentle and don’t bleed much.
- While wearing the bandage:
- Avoid alcohol, exercise, and excessive sweating.
- Some redness or slight irritation under the bandage is normal. However, if it becomes uncomfortable, remove the bandage earlier and proceed with cleaning.
After Removing the Film (Day 3 Onward)
- Gently remove the bandage under running water.
- Wash the tattoo with mild soap and warm water, then pat dry.
- Apply a thin layer of fragrance-free healing ointment (e.g., Tattoo Med, Cerave, or Bepanthen) 2–3 times a day for the first two weeks. Always keep the tattoo lightly moisturized—don’t let it dry out.
Healing Period (First 2 Weeks)
- Avoid swimming, saunas, long showers, and tight clothing on the tattooed area.
- Limit physical activities that cause excessive sweating or friction on the tattoo.
- Do not pick or scratch peeling skin; gentle peeling is normal for fine-line tattoos.
Long-Term Care
- Always use sunscreen on your tattoo when exposed to the sun.
- Keep the area moisturized regularly to maintain the tattoo’s vibrancy.
- Severe sunburns, cuts, or abrasions can affect the tattoo’s appearance.
Touch-Ups
- It’s normal for fine-line tattoos to lighten as they heal. If small details fade, email a photo of your healed tattoo to the booking email to schedule a touch-up session.
